Quantum Biology

Quantum biology explores whether quantum phenomena such as coherence, entanglement, and tunnelling influence biological function at the molecular scale. This research challenges purely classical biochemical explanations in selected biological settings.

Our work connects quantum theory to biologically relevant mechanisms, including radical pair spin dynamics and vibrationally assisted electron transfer. By linking physics with life sciences, we aim to advance understanding in areas such as disease mechanisms, diagnostics, and bio-inspired quantum technologies.
